Tun Mahatdir Mohamad or known as Che Det is the fourth of prime minister of Malaysia.Tun held the post for 22 years making him one of the longest serving leader in asia (1981-2003). Tun being "The Father of Modern developement" for Malaysia as what his done for making Malaysia as Modern country.I give credit to him to all mega project like Penang bridge, Petronas Twin tower, multimedia supercorridor(msc), putrajaya, amazing Kuala Lumpur International aIRPORT(Klia), North-South Expressway and so on.
During his administration, He considered as one of Asia's influential leaders.He also known for critism for western.Tun Mahatdir be more popular when he take his own strategy during financial crisis 1997 and rejected IMF recovery package.His action save Malaysia economy and then IMF and World bank acknowledge that Mahatdir action was right and worked.
When Tun take over the office from Tun Hussein Onn(1981), Tun turn Malaysia into a regional high-tech manufacturing,financial, and telecomunication hub. Tun also introduce Dasar Pandang ke Timur where Malaysia during his time not anymore look west as performance indicator but look Japan,Korea as good country to follow. Tun also introduced dasar "Cekap,Bersih dan Amanah" to public servant.
Tun Mahatdir Finally retired in October 2003.Dato' seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (Pak Lah) then appointed as his successor.. Now,Tun actively write his blog...www.chedet.com...
Because of the credibility,contributed to country,so I choose Tun as Men's Diary Idol...
